F4U-1 and FG-1D Images

• The 'Birdcage' F4U-1 is owned by the Alpine Fighter Collection, and is based at Wanaka in the South Island. All photos were taken when it flew up to Ardmore airfield (near Auckland) to participate at a recent NZ Warbirds open day.

• The Goodyear FG-1D, an ex-RNZAF aircraft, NZ5612,  is owned by Ross Jowett, and is stored at Ardmore.
